Vega State Park
At 8,000ft elevation southeast of Collbran, CO just north of the Grand Mesa is Vega State Park. This 1,830-acre park has a variety of activities for visitors, including water-based recreation on the 900 surface acre Vega Reservoir formed by the construction of Vega Dam in 1962. There are few hiking trails in this park - a couple of trails around the edge of the park used largely for fishing access - as well as opportunities for camping and fishing. This is a fee area.
