Just north of Monument, CO and south of Castle Rock, CO west of Interstate 25 is the Greenland Ranch Open Space managed by Douglas County Parks and Trails. With long, gently rolling trails through the grasslands of the Front Range foothills, this area is popular with mountain bikers and equestrians with fewer hikers than other nearby areas. The main Greenland Open Space Trail is a 9.9-mile loop with minimal elevation change throughout.
