Located just south of Golden off West Colfax Avenue and Hwy 93 is Apex Park - a popular foothills park popular with mountain bikers and hikers alike. Mountain bikers are only allowed on the park trails on even calendar dates where hikers and equestrians are not allowed (and must ride one direction: downhill/east), while hikers and equestrians are allowed only on odd calendar dates with no bikes allowed. Don't forget to check the calendar date before visiting Apex Park!
