The eastern terminus of the 567-mile long Colorado Trail is just southwest of Denver, CO in an area called Waterton Canyon. Quickly after the start of the trail, it winds southward into the Pike National Forest where the Colorado Trail connects with another trail system accessible from the Indian Creek Trailhead along Co Hwy 67 southwest of Sedalia. From this area one can also connect to trails east in the Sharptail Ridge area.
