Steamboat Springs, CO is known for its world-famous winter ski resort, but nestled at the base of Werner Mountain in the Park Range, it is also gateway to some amazing hiking destinations as well. Just outside of town are a number of trailheads leading into the nearby Routt National Forest, and the Mount Zirkel Wilderness is just a short drive further afield. To the west are Bureau of Land Management Trails popular with mountain bikers and hikers alike.
