North of Steamboat Springs, CO and just a short drive northwest of Pearl Lake State Park is the larger Steamboat State Park centered on Steamboat Lake nestled along the border of the Routt National Forest to the north. Users visit this area for the water sports, including a full-service marina for boaters and a swim beach, as well as camping (including cabins), fishing, hiking and picnicking. Open year-round, this area is also a magnet for winter sports recreationalists with snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross-country skiing. This is a fee area.
