A short drive east down Frying Pan Road from Basalt, CO (halfway from Carbondale, CO to Aspen, CO) is the very small town of Merideth, CO at the east end of Ruedi Reservoir. There are a handful of trailheads just off Frying Pan Road accessing the surrounding White River National Forest.
