This area has a trail system on state-owned lands - the Cherokee State Wildlife Area (Line Pine Unit) - that is open to visitors May 1st to September 1st each year. The trail along Lone Pine Creek continues into the Roosevelt National Forest, but dead-ends on private property. Various loop options are possible. As of July 2020, visitors to State Wildlife Areas must have a fishing or hunting license to recreate there.
