Bergen Park is a small park a short drive north of Evergreen, CO owned and operated by Denver Mountain Parks. Originally settled by Thomas Bergen in 1859 and now on the National Register of Historic Places, this park has a short system of paved trails that wander along the open grasslands and ponderosa pines of the area along with picnic shelters and a couple of small ponds. The lone trail in Bergen Park - the Pioneer Trail - leads under Evergreen Parkway to connect with Elk Meadow Park to the south - a much more expansive hiking area.
