Just west of the Interstate 25 corridor in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, this 2,700-acre park offers a variety of recreation opportunities, including 10 miles of trails through the pinon/juniper vegetation in the hills surrounding the lake, camping in the Carpios Campground, and ample water sports options such as fishing and boating. This is a fee area.
