A short drive east of Grand Junction, CO lies the town of Palisade - famous in Colorado for their peaches, but also a beautiful area of the western slope with a handful of spectacular local hikes. The Palisade Rim trail is just east of town, while the Little Book Cliffs hiking area and Mount Garfield are found a little further north.
