A short drive west from Pueblo, CO is Lake Pueblo State Park, centered on the Pueblo Reservoir which was created by the construction of Pueblo Dam across the Arkansas River from 1970-1975. Water-based recreation is king at Lake Pueblo State Park with full service marinas, sailing, motorboating and fishing as some of the prime attractions on this 4,600-acre reservoir. On land, camping, mountain biking and hiking are also popular activities with most biking trails located on the south shore. This is a fee area.
